you can't have permanently editable posts or posters would come back and make cute alterations. Maybe a 2-minute window?
as the previous Ed once said, you have your own edit buttons, if you're lucky one on either size of your nose.

As for save and come back to, it's called 'suscribe'

Both quite simple as far as I can tell.
really, alba, where would they be?

The idea of an edit function has been discussed many times. What appears seems to be what we type so the best way is to read your post through before submitting. You can drag the corner of the answer box down so you can see the whole post in one pane.
Even a two minute window seems too much at busy times as sometimes more than half a dozen responses can come in within that time, and then people may need to edit their replies and that just has aknock on effect and can make the thread look odd.
If a post needs to be edited why not just copy it, make an amendment (pehaps using italics for changes) and then repost it as a reply.

I don't really have aview on the save to come back- i would just leave the answer there and not press submit, or I'd put it on my clipboard, but I probably wouldn't use it if by the time I got back others had replied and mine seemed to add nothing by that stage
they Be the ones jno :-)

Alba, its called subscribe, not suscribe, which is a good case for an edit button!!!!
lol, I know, I know :-)

I get my sus muddled with my scribes, it's a political thing :-D
The easiest way to deal with a typo, spelling error or even a misunderstanding is to correct it in a reply - just as you would in conversation.

Subscribe is useful as an aide to remember where to go back.
I love typos (might have mentioned that in the past!)
love puns too

Do typos only work in the English language or do they work in others?
i like the edit facility on facebook, you can edit your post, but someone looking at it can click on the "edited" button and see the original and if the post is edited more than once, each post, as they were

On my iPad I use notes to write and compose a long post that may involve copy and pasting from another link or post.
You can also open a new pane and flirt between between AB and another browser sindow.
Typos are annoying (and I do a lot of them) but the solution is to take more time to check your writing before pressing the Answer Now button.
As others have said, the edit button has been discussed previously - and as I have said before (and the previous Ed probably did, too), you can read through your reply before you press Submit.
