I've noticed a lot of you have been changing you avatars recently. As I'm fairly new to this site I wonder if it's like a fashion thing where you all go for new season colours and styles at certain times of the year or is it more a case of one does it and then the next one thinks it's a good idea and goes out shopping for a new one themselves.

I like the variety btw

Some people change regularly for no apparent reason and others stick with the same one over time. I think it is just personal preference.

hmm, I can imagine a situation where I might think it's time to change like I might think it's time to get my winter coat out.

and no bummie, I don't follow the crowd, I change mine when something changes for me. My current avatar is my missing cat.

The only time we have lemming tendencies is Christmas, when a vast array on Santa-related avatars suddenly appear!

For no reason whatsoever I've collected a selection of teapots. I swap around as often as I feel inclined or for a special/seasonal occaison. I haven't noticed any fashions here but anything's possible.
