I keep getting infuriating pop-ups telling me that files have been blocked from accessing the network. The files are NT Kernel & System (file name ntoskrnl) and Generic Host Process for Win 32 services ( file name svchost.exe).While they are on the screen I can't type anything. I tick the do not show this window again box every time, but to no avail, they keep coming back. How can I stop these, alternatively would it be easier to let them have access?

I assume you mean your firewall is popping up...? Win 32 services should defnatly have access. And, although only 99% sure, i would say NT kernal should to. I use the Norton firewall, and this allowed them automatically let them through. 2b on the safe side if yr not sure, do a virus scan first.

Yes indeed. The firewall is doing it's job I suppose. The problem being it asks if files should be allowed access to the network, if you don't have a clue as to what the files are for then what are you supposed to do?
