Bamboo Pillows

Do bamboo/ memory foam pillows eventually flatten down with use? Just got one and seem to slide off it as it’s quite lofty and I’m wondering whether to take some of the foam out....

My forsythia is 10months old, as well as shorter shoots towards the base it has four shoots about 3' long, can I trim them back to match the other growth?
