Seem they may have the killer, we can but hope.

What I can't understand about the way the family of this murdered police officer have chosen to deal with their grief?

Wesley is a common enough name for Protestants here in NI.
It is clear from the news report that the young man is still seeing this scenario as something of a game - who can appear toughest?

If he goes to court, and is found guilty, the full impact of what he has done to this family, and his own, and himself, will have ample chance to set seed and grow.

But for now, he is the tough guy playing to the gallery.

That may not last.

divebuddy - //(If convicted) the consequences to himself may be uppermost in his mind. I seriously doubt that he will spare a second thought for the dead policeman or his family. //

The day, or even the year of his conviction, or maybe even a few years after that - then no, I would agree.

But foolish self-centered misguided young men eventually mature and grow into adults, whether in prison or not.

And if he is in prison, he will have ample time to consider what put him there - maybe them it will dawn on him that it was not worth it for anyone involved.

And when it has dawned on him, he will have even longer to live with it.

But for the families involved, it is already days too late, and that is the awesome tragedy of this whole event.

A certain Clayton Ronald Williams arrested for burglary, stealing a car and crashing it into a lamp post.

I wonder if he got found guilty and got a prison sentence for that crime. If he had got a LONG sentence maybe that policeman would not have got killed.

Looking at VHG's link I see they sometimes take the law into their own hands up there.

Now that's PROPER summary justice.....
It prompts another question. Do they play much baseball in Runcorn?
