No-one is looking for everyone to agree with everyone, that indeed would be a very boring and redundant exercise.
But disagreement does not equal personal attacks, and debate does not equal nit-picking and provocation, and arguing does not involve insulting other points of view.
This site - and indeed this section - have survived because the majority of people do debate and argue their points well, and without rancour.
If those who decide to make it their persona fiefdom and shout down other people and attack individuals can either stop it, or stop posting - it will continue as it always has done.
This is a vociferous, but still very small minority, and the majority are not going to allow them to flourish and take over.

Yes I rather encourage a good debate, and for that one has to be controversial, but that does not mean that one should be constantly taken to task for the thread's subject matter, the nationality of the persons involved, the wording of one's headline, or any spelling errors etc etc.
And also not being allowed to respond to other's personal insults, which when I happen to do constantly sees my posts removed or even complete legitimate threads removed.

These mods work so fast that I've never witnessed any such attacks on you, as a person.
Your arguments, however, get savaged on a regular basis but that is what debate is all about, as you rightly suggested.
If you bother people, it is because you are so one-dimensional. It is always along the lines of "non-white person does something bad". If they are 1 in 12 of the population and your choice of what to post was in any way balanced, you'd be posting 11 stories about white people behaving badly for every thread you currently post. Some AB members feel the need to remind you of your apparent bias, every time you post something with the slightest hint of a racial theme.
Is that is what you are perceiving to be a personal attack?
