If some one had a bad fall and staggered home and family called ambulance and when paramedics arrived and said nothing wrong with him and they can clearly see the man is crying with pain.
when taken to hospital he needed five stiches and had a broken arm which is now in a cast.
Did the paramedics get it wrong?
can they get it wrong?
are they allowed to get it wrong?

Not sure who your previous reply was aimed at , but I think you'll find a lot of us have sadly had to use the Ambulance Service for medical emergencies. Whist mostly a smooth running system of course it can have its failings. As stated above , make an official complaint with all the facts you have. Let us know how it proceeds.

well may be i phrased it wrong, but you know know this person I am talking about is 76 years old so why would you not take them to hospital

so do you think the paramedics could have been more careing?
and yes I love that chanel drip - I want one to.
I have had limited amount of dealings with Paramedics but they have always been helpful and Professional.

Mistakes happen but the problem is that the authorities do not always communicate with the injured person afterwards. Some sort of explanation or apology will go a long way in sorting out the mistake's impact.

However an older person should probably be taken to the hospital for a check-up just to be on the safe side.

Is it possible bank999 that your friend did not want to make a fuss and told the paramedics that he was okay?

I hope your friend heals quickly
//this person I am talking about is 76 years old// would have been good info in your post.

a human is human no matter what age.

Always confused I love that pitcure of your cat. so cute.
Was the guy actually asked if he wanted to go to hospital?
People often refuse and the paramedic can not insist they go.
Happened with my Dad, refused to go in an ambulance but was happy for us to take him.

hi yes he wanted to go - he was in too much pain he was crying -- blood was pouring out of hes chin.
i still don't understand how someone who could make it home after a fall, and has friends who can transport them would call an ambulance just to get to hospital. It's not like they are a taxi service. If the hospital diagnosed a broken arm and gave treatment how would your friend have got home afterwards if he had been taken in by ambulnce?
Still your friend will know better i suppose, if there is a next time
