Well have had the chromium partial dentures (front 4 teeth) for about 2 months and I still "feel the bulkiness" I have gone back to dentist twice and she said if she loosened them anymore they would drop out.

I understand that but what I am finding is when I take them out to give my gums a rest maybe for 6 hours like yesterday (Sat) - it is hard to to get them in. Would it be okay just to clean them morning and night keep them in all night etc and more or less treat them like ordinary teeth. Somebody told me to keep them in too much erodes the good teeth. Thanks for any advice.

I've got a partial denture and every time I go to the dentist, I'm asked if I remove the denture overnight.
Apparently, taking your dentures out before going to bed, means the mouth tissues can recover from wearing them during the day.
Jenny, I do understand your problem but as you say you got good advice last time.

I really think perseverance is the key however harsh that makes me sound.
Mamyalynne should be given 'Best Answer'!

I sadly have nothing constructive to add :-(

thanks for your answers but do still worry about getting them in again as they feel so tight and sometimes feel they are not sitting "right".
