Hello all!

Here's my situation; I have a flight booked to visit China for a few weeks. I got an appointment with Visa for China in Manchester on the 16th October and to my frustration, they told me that my passport was too tatty so refused my application. So I quickly rang up the Passport Office and applied for the fast track service. I received my passport within 2 days of my appointment (16th September). However, I have heard that I might need my old passport with me when I go back to Manchester for my new visa appointment.... My old passport hasn't arrived in the post yet and by my reckoning, I need to apply for my visa on Thursday the 24th at the very latest.

I called up the Passport Office again and they said it would take 7 to 10 days for my passport to arrive. So my options are:

A) Wait and hope my new passport comes then go to the Visa office ASAP (I can go any time Monday to Friday before 2 30 on this current application)

OR

B) Create a whole new application with my new passport number on it and hope they don't ask to see my older passport. (Have to book an appointment 2 days in advance)

Any help or advice would be appreciated massively!

Thanks in advance
