Why Can't You Buy Two Airline Seats?

My daughter is getting married up here in Northumberland, in February. Ideally they want to fly up here from, Southampton. She has been told that the only way she can bring her wedding dress is either, shove it in the overhead lockers, (not happening) or put it in the hold, (also not happening).

I said why not buy an extra seat for it. She rang Flybe and was told that she wasn't allowed to do this.

Anyone have any idea why they wouldn't sell her a second seat, for her dress.

I didn't know where to post this. :)

My question was a valid one, and posts inferring that my daughter is stupid, is quite frankly unnecessary and rude.
You can infer rudeness if you like. It was, in my opinion, a valid question but if you can't or won't answer it then I am, well at a loss as to what is not understood or which bit is too tricky to answer.

The premis is quite simple. Pack it properly and baring the plane ditching somewhere or perhaps getting lost, it will be safe. In fact it will be safer than trying to keep it from getting trodden on or spilt omit on a spare plane seat.

There are of course plenty of delivery services that could do it and I imagine for a fraction of the price of a plane ticket.

But hay, if all you are going to do is put up barriers to getting the job done you go right ahead.

If you had read the posts from the start, cassa, you would have seen that it had already been decided to drive up with the dress, was the best option.

I was simply enquiring why an extra seat could not be purchased.

Sheesh!!!
