We have 2 Virginia Creeper's in our garden which we want to kill off as we are trying to get ou garden as Maintenance Free as possible and these creepers are so invasive. Both the roots are in a position where it would be impossible to dig-up. We have managed to cut one back to just above the root and may be able to do the same to the other. What we are looking for is a weed killer we could apply to these 2 plants to kill them off completely. Can anyone suggest same.

Pull the creeper away from any host plant and apply glyphosate (Roundup).
You need to let it shoot again before you put the glyphosate on then you need to be really really patient If you take the top growth off when it is wilted and looks dead, the root will survive and shoot again. Just leave it and leave it. If it does shoot again then apply more glyphosate and be patient again.
