Thanks Jo My oracle informs me that the only two words that can been made using all the letters are LULLABY TYPEWRITES. There are quite a number of places in Yorkshire which can be found, ff has given some, but without a letter count it is not easy.
Welcome. It can't be castle, abbey, museum, park, Minster, church, cathedral, gallery, forest, house...grrrrr
That doesn't sound very Yorkshire to me, Davemano!
jourdain I told you that at 20.24 they were no connected with Yorkshire but you asked what the two words were
You could make every other town in Wales out of those letters, if that's any help.
Ta Svejk ;o)
Could the answer be two words/place names which are unrelated apart from both being found in Yorkshire.
It would help if we could see a similar question and answer from this quiz.
Charlie- please can you confirm that the letters given are definitely correct and the answer must be an anagram of those letters
If it's a place name I've tried all the ones mentioned so far plus Willerby but haven't found anything that can be tagged onto it. I've tried bay, well, wells and waters too. If it's a thing I've tried butty and butter. If it's a landmark I've tried things like stable, street, pillar, water, waters...
If it's a person's name I've tried Peter, Willy, Billy...
Got to gow now but I'll look back later and hopefully Charliebonce will have confirmed the clue
The original posting by Charlie looked relatively simple but it would interesting to know the origin of A wily Ruby tells pet. Have all the letters to be used in the two words??
Question Author

Question Author

Charlie, were all the other answers towns?
Question Author
No
Has their been a similar anagram question in this quiz?
Was it a straightforward anagram or could their be some extra steps needed- eg could Ruby be Wax or could pet be cat/rabbit etc- before the anagram is made
Charlie, is it an anagram, or is 'a wily Ruby tells pet' the clue?
..looking at Charlie's previous Qs for a Yorkshire quiz, they were all clues..
I wondered if 'wily' was meant to be an angram indicator and not part of the anagram

There are another 9 anagram questions as part of this mainly cryptic quiz sheet based on places / things found in Yorkshire. 'A wily Ruby tells pet' is the last anagram question.
