I have a Panasonic microwave which I've have for about 8 years. The turntable has stopped rotating- does this matter or should I get it looked at?

You can still use it,remembering to turn the food regularly. When it happened to mine I sprayed WD40 into the central spindle hole and it freed up.

I'll try that Mamy, thanks very much.
If you have had the Microwave for 8yrs, it is possible that it has reached the stage of needing to be replaced. If WD40 doesn't work I would say the appliance is really beyond redemption.

Hans.

Thanks Hans. I'll see what happens after I use the WD40.
