Four times this morning a full screen advert has appeared for Labrokes sport mobile in play. On none of the occasions has my hand been anywhere near the iPad. How does this happen and what can I do to stop it. It is very annoying.

Ta Mamya - wasn't sure where to put it.
Have you performed any malware scans ?

Are you running, perhaps in the background, something that came free because they pop up ads ?
Have you got 'block pop-ups' enabled for Safari in the main settings app?
Question Author
Old Geezer - no to the first question, not that I know of to the second.
Fitzger - not sure about this.
As you can tell I am not very good with this sort of thing so I will ask my son to have a look at it and explain what I should do and show him your answers. Thank you both for trying to help.
Margo, 'tis easy-peasy, go into the settings app (grey with a gear wheel, usually on the main homepage), scroll down to Safari, tap that and scroll down and under the heading 'general' there should be the fourth option 'block pop-ups' with a slider, if the slider is green then it's switched on, if not then slide it until it is green and see if that makes a difference. If it's already on then I'm all out of ideas I'm afraid :-(
Might also be worth checking if you have a Ladbrokes App installed on the iPad . If so you should be able to delete it from your system. Some instructions for removing an iPAD App can be found here:-

Fitzer - I just had a look at that and there is what looks like a little green barrel, so I assume it's already on.
Pinkyboyid - no Ladbroke app on the machine.
As Toyah Wilcox would say 'it's a mystery'! But thanks to all for you help I will get my son to read through this and check it all out.
