Is it possible to send Mr. Seymour into a war zone? As you say, Svejk, repugnance at his attitude is something that I am certain all ABers will feel in common.

Ah well. I walk in different social circles I suppose. I do recall excessive protests here at some not being sympathetic though.
I'm sure Weston will be delighted to hear that an insult to him is being used as a springboard for an attack on "the left". It does his suffering great honour.
OG
"Ding Dong the witch is dead". I seem to recall that vitriol being trotted out by the left when Margaret Thatcher died.
I suppose the so called right wing bile will show the same anti-British bile and claim it is the UK's fault that this little boy was washed up on a Turkish beach.
Where was the right wing bile in that link?
// I do recall excessive protests here at some not being sympathetic though.//

I don't recall any excessive protests here at people not being sympathetic.
It looks like it's been removed, Retro.
Well precisely Retro. That was the sort of mild expression of feeling I was thinking of: that was forecastable and wouldn't count as vitriol.
Ummmm
Yes thank God it does look like it was removed. The left wing bile against Simon Weston still remains though.

Go to my link again, and look at the top of the page. There were 437 posts on the story, and then comments were blocked.
A horrible comment, without any doubt, and this is from a "leftie"
And from this leftie, too, a horrible comment.
Also, as a leftie again, I didn't rejoice when Mrs Thatcher died. I just saw a sad, ill old lady had come to the end of her life. I cheered when she left office, though.
Why are some people trying to make this issue a battle between the right and the left ?

The comments made against Weston were disgusting....what on earth has this to do with politics ?
Snake, Vermin.

I think svejk was hoping that this post would unite left and right in condemnation of this pathetic man's pathetic opinion, rather than engage in a "who is nastier?" debate.

You think?

Who the hell is Richard Seymour?
If you scour the net you will find lots of nonsense like this to get offended over (now who is always talking about being easily offended?)

//what on earth has this to do with politics ?//

probably because simon weston chose to make political points about (according to the left) he-who-must-be-revered jeremy corbyn, and one assumes that the riposte about mr weston's face was considered a valid political right to reply and defence of he-who-must-be-revered jeremy corbyn.
Mush...thanks for such an unbiased reply !

There was nothing remotely valid about this chap Seymour's comments, as everybody on here has agreed.
Are you 100% sure of what you are agreeing on, mikey?
It has been said that this is not about politics, and should not be turned into a Right and Left argument, well I disagree it goes to show how this left-wing brainwashing can turn a young man's head into thinking this sort of anti-British rhetoric.

This horrible young man should never again be given space in a national newspaper to air his disgusting views.

Are we not all in agreement that this comment is disgusting ?
Sorry, Sven...... I don't know how but I skipped over your first post after the OP.

'That Journalist is beneath contempt'

Your OP was a tad ambiguous....of course he is beneath contempt.
(but it was still only a Facebook post)
