The design of my home, downstairs bathroom, means I must be one of the few people who still use a gazunder. I've noticed that following the evenings I have a M&S ready meal the level of liquid to be disposed off is considerably reduced. I know these meals are loaded with salt. So, can the salt added to just one meal be making the difference?

Have you checked the wardrobe for damp, Sandy? We've all been there. :-)

In my drinking days I'd often find a unexplained damp patch on the carpet in the corner of my room. Do you know, I never did find what was causing it. ☺
sandy....I can't think of a better explanation.
Easy to check. Load all your meals with salt for a month, see if you pee at any time during the next 30 days.

Stouter hearts than mine are free to carry on the research if they wish. I've eaten my last ready meal from M&S.

Having read that ^ I need to ask, How much is 1300 milligrams?
4 and 1/3 cups (apparently)
1300 milligrams is 1.3 grams , less than half an ounce .....I think....
there's about 30 grams to the ounce, so 1.3 grams is... not a lot.
Ooops... grassy's measurement is a bit off... 1,300 mg of table salt (which contains 40% sodium) equals 1 teaspoonful or a smallish pyramid in your right palm... About the same as in 2 McDonald's cheeseburgers...
ignore me. Google is not always my friend!
A teaspoonful of common salt weighs about 6 ot 7 gr. So 1.3 gr. is about the contents of a ......salt-spoon. Remember them?

I think so. Was it a similar size to the spoon in the mustard?
Gazunder - so called because it 'gazunder' the bed. ( for those who did not know )
