Yes. there are stories like this from all over Europe.
Only the Brits seem to refuse to understand the difference between refugees willing to risk everything, including their lives, to escape war zones, and economic migrants.
The campaign against refugees being led by the DM and its ilk is very similar to the one that it ran against Jews fleeing Germany in the run-up to WWII.

Apart from the Christians (who are very obviously a horribly persecuted minority, in line with the Jews fleeing Germany) it is hard to see the others as any other than economic migrants. Anyone fleeing a war zone just because it is a war zone, should be happy to settle in any peaceable country - there are plenty in Africa and Asia.

And hereby hangs the tale which the EU authorities refuse to accept. There are plenty of places outside Europe where these pople would be better suited. Places which are more suited to their culture, religion and lifestyle. But they don't want to go to any of them because it might be only slightly less disagreeable that their places of origin.
They want a completely new life (whilst not having to make too many changes to their own way of life). You cannot blame them for that. But Europe should make it clear that this is not the place for them to do it.

The current scenes across Europe are a disgrace. The people of Greece, Hungary, Italy and France do not deserve to have their countries turned upside down by an invasion such as this.
If the EU is to construct a concerted approach to this problem it must focus on keeping people out. All I hear is how it is proposed to accommodate people when they get here. That is not the answer. If the EU will not adopt this strategy then individual nations will have to take their own steps to protect their external borders. Hungary, to its credit, has begun to impose UN and EU rules by restricting migrants from travelling westwards. This could be the beginning of the suspension of the Schengen Agreement which will greatly assist in preventing migrants from roaming all over the continent in search of their Shangri-La.

As we are comparing the plight of the Jews with this, were the Jews fussy about their country of sanctity or did they decide some countries were not good enough too?
It is utter nonsense. There are far too many single young men among the immigrants to make it a full Asylum or even refugee issue. Much of this is simply economically based.

Giving into this now, even though it is at the moment in it's infancy then what is stopping the whole people of the continent of Africa wishing to move to Europe?
We could see 'swarms' on a yearly basis, so no it must be stopped now, for the future well being of the peoples of Europe.
Regarding the flight of people from a War zone, how did the people of the world go on during WW2? even the people of this small Island had to remain here, there was no place where we could pick up sticks and move to.
