Can anyone remember the name of the chain of shops (don't think they exist any more) that sold bri-nylon sheets, pillowcases etc. Very popular in the 70s. Sometimes got an electric shock when you got into bed ha ha.

Correct. I remember them and their products well. In my late teens I sweated like a pig in bri-nylon shirts which my mother insisted I wore because they were drip-dry and needed no ironing.

Thanks folks, been racking my brains all day and just couldn't remember. I do remember the static though ha ha
Their nylon sheets wee so thin that if you had woollen blankets on top of them, the scratchy bits of the wool would scratch you right through the sheets.
.... and the whole lot would slip off overnight, ending up in an electrifying heap on the floor!
And woe-betide anyone who hadn't cut their toenails!

They sold bright orange brushed nylons sheets. I remember brushed nylon sheets. Soooo many people had them, even some hotels. OMG, they were vile.
Blue flashes if you got into / out of bed in the dark...
Not to mention the two layered babydoll sets ;)
