........ is this Rapper top of the list of "dangers" to this country. I think not

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/uk-news/rapper-banned-uk-home-secretary-9947081?ref=yfp

Quote from above link
---------------------
"A Home Office spokesman said: "Coming to the UK is a privilege, and we expect those who come here to respect our shared values.

"The Home Secretary has the power to exclude an individual if she considers that his or her presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good or if their exclusion is justified on public policy grounds."
---------------------

So why not exercise these powers more widely - I'm sure several of our regular contributors can provide her with a list.

Well, looking at his lyrics, he's no Irving Berlin! http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/tylerthecreator/goblin.html However it does seem pretty daft banning him. Perhaps it's TM's revenge for the USA banning hundreds of thousands of Brits because of relatively minor criminal offences (often committed many years ago)?

This person's mistake is to try to enter the UK legally. He should try entering illegally. He will get a much different reception.
The Home Secretary is more of a Prog Rock kinda gal, Terry may have made it personal.

Your man needs to get himself a beard, a koran and an attitude if he wants to come to the UK and noise up the friends of Dorothy.

accused of homophobia and misogyny? There will always be a place for him on AB. He probably blames victims for being raped and wonders why there are Gay Pride celebrations - and what's un-British about that?
Didn't Oscar Wilde say that 'probably' was the last refuge of a scoundrel.

Or summat.
Definitely 'summat', Douglas!

“Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel”
- Samuel Johnson

"Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative"
- Oscar Wilde

"Ambition is the last refuge of the failure"
- Oscar Wilde

"Probable impossibilities are to be preferred to improbable possibilities"
- Aristotle
I'm obliged to you Buenchico, but I was being a sarky ***. :-)
Typical anti British nonsense from jno - are you British or just suffering Britishaphobia?

I have to agree Canary, on the face of it there are many that should have been banned on a far greater context. Perhaps there is something we are not aware of?
Should have banned The Police. They had criminal records.
That had a bit if a Sting to it Svejk.

Surprised they didn't ban ACDC too.
patriotism being the last refuge of a scoundrel, I suppose I can't be surprised at ymb using it on me instead of answering my questions.
Jno, so you think that just because there are a few posters on AB who are homophobic and/or misogynistic them Britons as a whole are too?

Let's be totally honest here, what section of British society are more likely to be homophobic and/or misogynistic?
