I recall him being interviewed...by Parkinson ?

I have read his books, although I found them difficult. Awakenings was easily Robin Williams best role.

RIP Oliver !

He had " A very good death" , and quite right too,RIP Oliver.
Oliver Wolf Sacks. A clever clever man.
he'd been ill for a year or two, I think.

I remember the film of Awakenings - it struck me as oddly similar to the Oscar winning film Charly, even though it was a true story and Charly was fiction (I remember reading it as a short story called Flowers for Algernon back in the 50s or so).

"Oliver Sacks"
"And Oliver pint of bitter, thanks Baldric."
Very sad. I enjoyed his books.
very sad. RIP.
Awakenings was DEFINITELY Robin Williams' best role, I agree mikey.

jno, I'm just giving his correct name, if you, like the OPer are not aware of that there really is no need to advertise that ignorance, especially on a RIP thread!
A brilliant man. I read a number of his books...most recently Hallucinations. Migraine had the biggest impact as it fully explained what I experienced for the first time.
