Yes i feel it is wrong and unreasonable, but clearly the "elders" of the village have a different view. It is illegal and it is up to the Supreme Court of India to intervene.

The sisters and their family have left the village and are in hiding.

if you feel virtuous in signing then that is up to you, but i feel that my signature would be meaningless and have little impact.
