Was the woman wine expert the same as the woman that used to do a food & drink tv programme years ago.

If it was, she has certainly aged well, with a great figure.

Yes that's her, Jilly Goolden,

I used to love her verbal descriptions of wines like, 'I can taste the romantic dew of a rose' or ' the aroma of blue clouds & the juices of vanilla'. so sexy as well
....I seem to remember "burnt tyres", "manure" or "blocked drains" more!
Still looks good does she? I didn't see it.
You used to live next to her ?
Some of these self-styled food experts make some weird comparisons.

The obnoxious Paul Hollywood recently described sampling a competitor's effort as like eating wallpaper paste. Not much help to the competitor as I doubt he's ever eaten wallpaper paste (unlike Hollywood presumably since he's able to make the comparison).
Never could stand Jilly Goolden!
At the time she was a big name in "Food and Drink" (first appearing in that programme in April 1983), Jilly Goolden also did a TV advert for (I think) a fabric conditioner in which she described the fragrances in the style of her wine reviews "... and a whoosh of hollyhocks right up the nose" or something similar was the last line of the ad.
