I read in an article that she is pregnant. She hope to put into practise what she preaches!

That is so not an outfit for someone pregnant though.
I would say very very pregnant, but she makes a lot of sense in her teachings! (But i must admit it also seems common sense but i guess sometimes you are to close/tired to see the whole picture) Good program!
I have watched bits of this, and its very like a previous program, called,
I think, Supernanny.

All the advice dished out is just common sense to me ! But if your parenting skills were as bad as these people, would you really want to go on prime telly and show everyone ?
Yes, pregnant at 41 with her first, I believe. Mikey I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. Good luck to her.
arrods....I am sure that the good advice that this lady doles out could be had without going on nationwide TV !

Can anyone remember the name of the other Supernanny ? Something Frost perhaps ?
Mikey...you are childless, yes?
Jo Frost.
Ummm...yes I am although I am not sure if that is relevant ! Most of the parents on these kind of programs have one thing in common....they spoil their kids and then look amazed and mystified when they end up with brats.

My brothers and myself were brought up very strictly in the 50's and 60's and the kind of behaviour that you see these days just wouldn't have been acceptable.

A couple of weeks ago, there was a little boy on this program, that continually hit and bit his mother !

Jo Frost it is. I liked her...no-nonsense and just plain common sense !
It's not as simple as that.

My daughter, born in '92, was a perfect baby. She fed and slept. I'd have to wake her in the mornings.

My son....absolute nightmare. If I wasn't with him he'd scream and scream and make himself sick. The only people that would babysit him was my dad or my sister....and my dad paid the young girl a few doors down to walk him up and down the street in his buggy.

Youngest son was just like my daughter....easy peasy.

(Young girl a few doors down is now one of my best friends)
Ummmm...I am sorry for your problems.

I allow that some kids have problems but I still maintain that good parenting isn't rocket science. Far too many kids today are being labeled with serious mental health problems, like ADHD, when they are just very high-spirited and allowed to be naughty. This then results in higher benefit levels for the parents. I realise that I am making generalisations but we can't possibly suddenly have 100,000's of mentally ill kids. Some kids need a firm hand and that is what appears to be lacking in these nanny programs. When the nanny has done her bit, especially Jo Frost, there has been a miraculous transformation !
Don't be sorry for my problems...he's turned out perfect. He's 19 now.
Then I am glad Ummm !
