Somebody, and I have no idea who, has sent me a French language DVD. Now that is very nice but my French is not good enough or fast enough for me to understand this film. It says it has American sign language for subtitles. Will I be able to find English subtitles anywhere? The film is, ensemble, c'est tout.

yes thuglike last year I bought a set of the Golden Girls DVDs from Germany and it has a choice of about 10 languages. Click on English if you can find it and on your remote control hit Subtitles. Took me a while to figure it all but have patience - I could nearly guarantee subtitles will be there.
Sorry. According to Amazon.fr (which is usually a reliable source of information) the 'signed' edition of the film offers no other subtitles:
http://www.amazon.fr/Ensemble-cest-tout-Audrey-Tautou/dp/B0029L6N4K/ref=sr_1_2?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1439900283&;sr=1-2&keywords=Ensemble%2C+c%27est+tout

Somewhat oddly, I can find no reference to a Region 2 (Europe) DVD of that film, with English subtitles, ever having been released. Yet, under its English title of 'Hunting and Gathering' there's a Region 4 (Australia) version available on Amazon USA!
you have no idea who has sent you a DVD? What -did it just arrive in the mail?

Thanks to you all. Chris I fear you are right as I couldn't find any reference to an English sub-titled version either. I have absolutely no idea who sent this or where it came from. No slip inside and no clues at all. jennyjoan I will certainly try on the remote.
