Once again we look for rational explanations to irrational behaviours.

If you asked one or both of these people why they did this, their reply would probably be "I don't know ..." and that is the truth - they don't know.

They don't have a reason because there isn't one.

Reasons require rational thinking, an ability to think beyond the immediate moment, and to empathise with other people and animals - none of which are on display here.

So don't hurt your head looking for answers - they are not there to be found.

I suggest throwing old chairs at the thugs... just for a laugh ! It was obviously fun for them to do it to the animals . Let's see if they still find it fun after being pelted with old chairs themselves.

What I usually say to idiots like this is : Why do something that you will regret when you get older ? but these morons look old enough to know better.

Your being a bit harsh on scum boaty. These poor examples of humanity know that they are being cruel, and relish it. Thier sad boring lives are enlivened by terrifying powerless animals. For a brief moment they have power and intent.
A sad indightment indeed. Morally bereft, and hopelessly stupid, until the grave.
