I got stung twice a week ago on my calf - I did everything right, so why is it still itching and swollen. I used vinegar and antihistamines.

Because whatever you do, a wasp sting will take a certain amount of time to go away.
Twice, the same day OR twice a week ago?
So how long ago was the last bite?

Up to 10 days is about right.

It will settle.

Twice at the same time on the same day. It's really itchy and a but swollen.
OK....it will settle.
Why not nip to the chemist and get some hydrocortisone ointment...1% or 5% and apply it two or three times a day.
Question Author
Done that Sqad, went to chemist on Thursday and been using it ever since. It is really annoying, it's red a bit swollen and about 4" in dia., and itches like hell!
O.K....if it is swollen, red and painful and if you are not feeling on "top form" then make an appt to see your GP tomorrow as he may prescribe antibiotics.
you could try Lanacane ...that's good for itches.
