Manicurist, pedicurist, chiropodist. If the first two are terms in the beauty world the chiropodist is more health then what is the name for the hand nail technician in the health and wellbeing world?

'podiatry' refers just to feet while 'chiropody' refers to both feet and hands
we have a Hand & Feet person in our salon..she only massage's hands/feet..and makes them look nice by doing mani's..and peds.. and varnishing..etc her official title is.. Beauty Technician.. she's trained in all aspects of beauty as well... very clever girl.. !! lol Mrs C x

I have heard the term "onychologist" used.
Sounds very grand, doesn't it ?
means "nail specialist"

Crikey more confused now than before!!!!
I think a chiropodist is more for getting corns out, really hard skin off, dealing with ingrown toenails etc... deeper problems with the feet. A pedicure is much gentler, same as a manicure, perhaps with exfoliator and cream, old varnish off, new varnish on. In fact a chiropodist doesn't have a tray with nail varnishes on, he is probably more on the surgical side...
