Still trying to do something with my garden, its ok but a bit boring.

Bought today some pre cut shaped slabs which when put together form a very pretty flower bed.

There are 9 stones in total (the middle bit will be dug out for plants) the the diameter will be about 4ft.

My question is, do they need to be layed on anything? Or can I just put them on top of the grass?

I know if it was a patio then I would have to put sand or cement underneath but these will not get walked on. What do think? Will they sink over time if I don't put down a base?

Any help, advise appreciated for this useless gardener.

They'll be fine, just lay them.

Thanks Mastercraft, that's what I was going to do but this has been met with 'you can't do that' but I don't see why not.
