Has anyone used Owners Direct. I have booked a few times and had lovely holidays in lovely Villas. But this time I have paid my depost and am about to pay the full amount when the Villa has disappeared from the Owners Direct website. On contacting the owner she assures me, that she has taken the Villa off because of having very few enquiries and has not bothered to advertise it yet on any other website.

Should I be concerned? She assures me everything is OK.

Have a backup accomodation in mind just in case.
I haven't used them, but you have paid your deposit and the owner has assured you that all is fine. I would go ahead.
I have used them before with not a problem, but there have been scams on there. Perhaps you could contact Trading Standards or similar site to check before you pay.

difficult to have backup accommodation abroad during holiday season. Everything is full.
I would always recommend AirBnB as an alternative, stayed in some amazing places. You just need to select 'Entire Place' as an option and in holiday-areas, there is loads of choice.
You could try Googling the owner and address to see what comes up.
