A foreign national has been working in the UK and paying tax, total earnings are below the lower tax threshold. They do not have a UK bank account and will receive, in time, their tax rebate by cheque.........how can they redeem it though as they will have returned home?

Fingers crossed the charges faced are not as punitive as those I have encountered!
I paid foreign currency cheques into my bank $ and the old Irish Punts. It takes time and there are charges but it works. Won 50 Irish Punts on the sweepstake got £35 for it after charges.
