Oldbobadusual,

Or maybe just have a word with the 4 Sinn Fein MPs elected to parliament a few weeks ago.

The Good Friday Agreement was 17 years ago.
Gromit

"The Palestinians are a semitic people. The would hardly be anti-themselves."

The common use of the phrase anit-semitic is to denote anti-Jew. If you were to ask the 'main in the street' what anti-semetic meant, the vast majority would say anto-Jew, so pointing out that other people from the area are semitic is just cheap and petty point scoring.
Deskdiary,
No it isn't.
If you are going use a word you should at least know what it means. The fact that Palestinians are accused of anti semitism is rather ironic. The fact that a mistake is common does not make it acceptable or right. They are not anti semitic, they just have a problem with a people who occupy their lands.
Gromit, I’ve no doubt you know as well as everyone else does that the term ‘anti-Semitism’ commonly relates to hatred of Jews. If you didn’t you wouldn’t have mentioned the accusation that the Palestinians are anti-Semitic. You’re being awkward and it's pointless.
