.... I do find very amusing the Walkers Crisp advert where the old lady flips the switch on the stair lift before the mechanic tries it out.

It was an epic ad, how rude of Gl to kick his toolbox closed when the lady just wanted a crisp,she could have been broke,poor or hungry but he got his comeuppance as he was thrown 20ft into the air.

Well, I've learnt something from this - the mechanic is Gary Lineker, something I didn't realise before. Makes it funnier IMHO.

It's a brilliant advert and one of the most humorous on TV at the moment. As far as I'm aware, there's never been a funny advert featuring a stairlift on TV previously and I find it quite ingenious, although this may be something to do with my engineering background!

I am truly miffed about this ad! Several years ago at a local car race track I spoke to Steven Fry who was there supporting Rowan Atkinson who was driving - I told him of an idea I had for a 'Mr Bean' sketch where he sat in a stair lift and it shot up and catapulted him out of an upstairs window! When I saw this advert I could not believe it! My other idea was for Mr Bean to be in a supermarket checking for shampoo 'not tested on animals' - then you see him in the shower and his eyes are on fire and he is screaming because he chose one that had not been tested!
