Apart from walking your dog - how do you spend your day if you go out without spending money - everyday I do I could easily spend £20-£40 and I need to stop it.

I only go out on the school run and any other run the kids demand. I often would love to just go for a walk, but my routines and life is so busy, i don't get time. I always end up in the local shop to spend money due to the kids.

that's what I mean phleb - you are still spending money.
Walk to the beach or the park, take a book, sit and read, have a picnic and paddle.
Take a bus to the museum, enjoy the art and exhibits.
Question Author
daisy can't do all that when you have a doggie with you.
Easy! When you go out dont take more than £5 with you and only use that for emergencies, nothing else.
An hour out of your dog's day is possible
Simply walk where there's nowhere to spend money
I often go out with only £5 (or less) cash - doesn't prevent me using my card though ;-)
Why do you need to spend whenever you go out?
I don't Daisy (just in case that was directed to me)
Sorry canary, not you, just confused by this post.

jj, leave your purse at home when you go out, just keep a bit of change in your pocket.
What are you spending your money on? That's the first thing to look at.
