they have apparently arrived in Swansea this year, for the fourth year in succession. they've been moved on now, but the question is begged:-

what has swansea got that the south of france hasn't?

Many driveways in need of l'asphalt exces?
This is a regular event at this location. Its used as a Park-n-Ride by the local council. Its also the location for travelling funfairs and circuses ( should that be circusi ? )

Its very difficult to keep 100% secure. Its, as our American friends would say
Easy-on, easy-off. Not sure what the solution is to these gatherings, other than keeping 24 hour security by the Police.

The answer is wonderful beaches and Joes Ice Cream Parlour is just up the road, and St Helen's Cricket Ground is adjacent ! Wonderful beach opposite but not much evidence of the jet-set though.
Par for the course it seems. The French have no problem dumping their undesirables on us with, it appears, ease of access to the UK meanwhile our friends across the Manche seem to succeed in a blockade of lorries carrying foodstuffs to to UK. Perhaps they are emulating their past occupiers who tried a U-Boat blockade against us. The same master race that we helped liberate France from!!
