My wife has a new car - a Golf - which scrapes at the front going into the garage because the driveway is very steep. Any easy solutions?

Reverse in?
Park on the street.
a car with a higher body, presumably, like a 4WD. Is there any way you could smooth out the steepness? If not, you've just got the wrong car for your environment.
Is the garage in a hollow or up a hill?
Use something, eg: plank of wood, to build up the level in front of the garage.
So as to lift the front of the car before it hits the garage floor.
A couple of pieces of metal placed where the wheels travel will do the same job.

If the bumper scrapes going in, I would guess garage at the bottom of the slope
You need to change the angle between the driveway and the garage.

Only 2 would be required if aligned correctly with the tyre spacing; just make sure that once the front tyres leave the paving slabs that there is sufficient clearance to withstand the suspension drop to remain clear of the garage base.
