what are the large daisy type flowers growing wild on walls etc in Cornwall? (have put this on Animals and Nature too)

I used to see lots of Mesembryanthemum
seed packets call them Livingstone- Daisy

'a bit of a pain' those purple flower things that grow everywhere. that's when they spread over other plants.
and they survive all weathers.
