Sorry. "Gone."
his poor wife must be going mad with worry ,hope they find him soon x
81? Unbelievable, isn't it?
I hope he's found soon.

Sorry, I'm just picturing some kind of diversionary Noakes, made of cereal packets and Fairy liquid bottles...
I'm not sure if Marshwarbles comment is meant to be amusing in the circumstances :/

The poor man has Alzheimer's, Marshwarble.
We are often told that inactivity and 'not using our brains' leads to dementia. John Noakes is either the exception to the rule or the proof that lifestyle doesn't contribute to the risk of dementia.

Saddened to hear such a lovely man has been struck by the dreadful, hateful disease and hope he is soon found safe and well.

I totally agree, hc.
hc the people I've known who suffer/are suffering from dementia have all been professional people who certainly used their brains. I don't buy into this 'exercise your brain to help ward of dementia' rubbish. along with 'lead a healthy lifestyle and you will reduce your chances of getting Cancer.
Believe me, as carer or partner-carer, you fret like crazy, an awful knot in your stomach.......
It's very worrying and in that heat too, let's hope for a happy outcome.
Shep would've found him.
It must be dreadful.
I can only begin to imagine what it must be like to care for/care about someone with Dementia or Alzheimers given the erratic nature of the illness.

Doesn't bear thinking about...nor making light of.
I'm sure Marshwarble never meant any harm .. it's what the original programme we remember was connected ted to. Hopefully John Noakes will be found well.
a sense of humour is vital - and there is humour in it.....
Maybe after they're found safe but I doubt if his wife and family are joshing about it at the moment.
Very worrying. Up date pictures of him rather than those taken years ago might help.
dementia that is, not the wandering.....
Such a cheerful chap...
It must be so worrying, I hope he is found safe. Can't imagine the worry of his loved ones.
