System Warning

I've just got this warning on my Desk Top pc you might be infected with adware / spyware The screen is 50% red and full of warnings
Call 0800 011 9543 immediately for assistance this call is prioritised and its 100% free It even quoted my IP address
The tab at the top of the screen which is locked indicates its a Windows Firewall Warning I use Mcafee security supplied by BT
I'm thinking now to just power down and up and hope it will power up ,But I'll wait awhile to see what Answerbank thinks

My computer runs Windows 7.

And it is fully updated by Windows Update, and has Microsoft Security essentials running.

PUPs are a pain in the rear. The AV tells you about them but expects the non-knowledgeable user to know whether they are wanted or not :-(
