Hi, very suddenly on Sunday my little man started vomiting.. It was every 15 minutes for 90 minutes before it slowed down, it was then at half 4 Monday morning. Then 7.30 in the evening.. He was docile and had many soiled nappies yesterday. And randomly threw up his breakfast that he had at 9am... At 9.30pm!! Today he's been sick 5 times and we've had one soiled nappy. There just doesn't seem to be any let up.. I understand it's probably a virus but how much longer will it last?!? Help!!

Is he drinking?
Poor little lad. I think I might be inclined to ring the doctor for some advice as it's been going on since Sunday.
I think a visit or a call to your GP might be in order as he could get dehydrated very quickly. Keep up the fluids and seek advice.
As long as he is well hydrated, then don't worry at this stage.
To asses dehydration just pinch his skin and if it retracts into the original position then he is well hydrated.

If the vomiting has not stopped by tomorrow night, then seek medical attention.
it's hard, but don't give him food for 24 hurs - just fluids. WOuld he take diarrhoalyte?
Dioralyte (if that is how it is spelled) is a good option to see him through. It's Wed. evening now, so he should be on the mend. If not - see a Dr. a.s.a.p..
get medical assistance/advice.

I took him to A&E last night after a call to 111. He was incredibly lethargic. He was checked over and the doctor said he was okay. He is drinking, but wasn't keeping anything down. They suggested I try and give him full sugar coke with a pinch of salt in.. I tried it, but that came up too.. This evening he's been happier, but he was the same yesterday so I'm praying that this time.. He's my happy little boy again.. I'm incredibly sleep deprived because I can't sleep. Petrified that he will choke on his own vomit. It seems to be whenever he coughs :(( it terrifies him, which upsets me to the point that I've cried at least half a dozen times today..

I rang 111 again today as my gp closed at dinner. I was told to expect a call back within 1-2 hours which never happened. That was around 5pm.. But he's been okay since then.
oh you poor thing, I think you did the right thing in seeking medical advice. I hope he and you get some sleep and feel better tomorrow,

Hi guys.. He hasn't been sick in over 36 hours thankfully and he's eating a drinking little and often. He's more like my boy.. However. This morning I noticed both of his eyes are blood shot. It was only the one eye yesterday I thought that may have been the retching but both over night? Should I be concerned about this? Thanks guys x
Glad he is recovering , doubt the bloodshot eyes are much to worry about - just keep a watch on them for a few days.
The cause of the blood shot eyes is almost certainly the cause of the D&V.......an enterovirus.
No big deal.

Thanks for the feedback.
