A couple of times a year we visit our daughter in London. From there we hire a car to visit our Granddaughter in Oxford. Our daughter has bought a car and has said she'll put me on her insurance to give fully comp cover. This rather than we use her car using the third party on my car insurance. I am wondering if she had to make a claim on her insurance would there be any repercussions for the insurance on my car. She's not a named driver on my car insurance.

There is no reason why it should, and if you are seen as a lower risk than her it may actually reduce her premium to have you as a named driver.
Oh hang on, having just re-read your post, I realise she is not a university student so forget the bit about reducing her premium.
No, it won't impact on your insurance on your own car

Just a thought, I know if a named driver on my car has had a claim I would have to declare to my insurance. If she had to claim would I have to declare to my insurance or declare if looking for a quote. Would hate to find, through ignorance, if I had an accident MY insurance had been canceled. Seem to be seeing this being reported a lot lately, some haven't even been warned.
Your daughter is under no obligation to tell you that she has had accident and had to claim on her insurance. It is simply none of your business, nor your insurers.
