My daughter is getting married in church in October. The church is 15 minutes from the venue. Should we have good and bad weather plans for October? Any ideas and inputs about timings etc. would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Bramley.

Just make sure you have some umbrellas available, what more can you do really. Are you walking from church to venue? If so, then you'll need more than brollies.

I got married in early November and had a beautiful (albeit cold) day, not a drop of rain in sight.
Weather in October will always be hit and miss and it won't be very warm.

Keep some brollies in the car (I bought loads from IKEA for £1 each) and some cardi's/jackets as well.
Can I interest you in Wedding Umbrellas? Only £500 each!
are you going somewhere outside for posed photos?
is it 15 mins walk, or are people driving?

IKEA umbrellas are a brilliant idea. Can't afford the £500 johnnies! The venue is about 5 miles so it will be cars. We thought of a Prosecco outside the church while photos etc? Has anyone ideas about timings for photos and reception etc. I've no idea, never noticed what happens at weddings I've been to. Bramley
are the photos happening right outside the church?
My wedding photos took about 1/2 an hour, but i think that was quick because it was snowing

We will drive about 15 minutes to the venue but if it's raining then I think we'll just have to muddle through. Many thanks, Bramley.
Hire a bus to take guests from venue to church and return , that way no one gets lost or left out. Parking is normally difficult near churches and may be easier at the venue. Bus hire would be less than £500 .
