Like something from 1950s USA. In todays inclusive society it was a very strange trick to pull - the bouncers must've know there would be repercussions as this type of behaviour is very newsworthy.
But nightclubs have had the power to refuse entry to groups of males with absolutely no comeback. Had this happen to me several times when out even in a small group of 4 or 5. Is this wildly different from the scenario in the link?

A.1 I have no idea. I am not Alexander Ward and have no access to the Independent's editorial polices.

Q.2 I do not know, but that's not relevant. The club spokesman has said that it does not operate with a race bar - this is about one particular doorman. Therefore, this is about the doorman. If there were indeed black patrons inside the club, perhaps a different doorman was working when they arrived. It's impossible to determine that.
Q.3 Were groups of white youths given access after this incident?

I think it should be stressed...some people are racist. It's a fact of life and rather than trying to constantly find alternative explanations for racism, we should acknowledge it exists, only then can it be tackled.

If someone thinks they are being mistreated because of their race, they should silently accept it and not cause any embarrassment to the suspected racist.

SP, get real, the doorman never said those words to him, Mr Orah shouted "Is it because we're black" while he was talking to them.
If he did say it why didn't they show the entire video or carry on filming and get the full conversation?
