McAfee Antivirus have emailed me to say that they have renewed my subscription of £39.99 - I never said they could and I certainly don't want to pay that price. I looked in my bank account and at the moment they haven't taken it out but I suspect it will be out tomorrow.

It says in email if you want to cancel go into MY ACCOUNT (which I cannot find) anybody help me please.

Let me look in my BT account for how to do it.
Log in to MyBT

You should now see the MY BILL section.

Scroll down, you shoud then see MY PRODUCTS.

Scroll down to MY EXTRAS - its there.
Your welcome,JJ
If you do either of the two options I suggested you will have peace of mind that your account has been de-activated and that they shouldn't be able to automatically take money from your account come June 20th.
As long as your sorted now, JJ :-)

Tuvok

Are you still on your way back from the Delta Quadrant ?
Avg free !
You can talk her through it how to set up avg free in June, murraymints......you would need a stiff drink :-) x

can I download from the BT now even though I am still under mcafee - when will I start it - would it be very wrong to have 2 antiviruses (just a thought)
Golden Rule
1) Only one Anti Virus at a time. Having more than one running at the same time causes conflicts.

If you qualify for (and want to use) "BT Net Protect Plus", installing it will automatically remove your existing anti-virus software -

lie in king - went back to original link and remembered it ok - on further reading and realising that I don't Broadband Infinity - only basic Broadband (I think) it is asking me for £3.70 a month which I don't want to pay just get a free one like anyone else
You would also qualify for the free version if you have either -

Unlimited Broadband extra

BT Total Broadband Option 2 or Option 3

Otherwise, VHG's suggestion that Windows Defender (Windows 8/8.1) will kick in if you deactivate McAfee is a good one.
Question Author
since I don't get any mail from BT - how can I find out what Broadband am I getting. Thanks
Question Author
If it is any help I have Windows 8.1 but don't use the apps
You need to log in to "My BT" & scroll down to "My Products"
Windows Defender isn't an app, it's pre-installed anti-virus software
