//budget to reveal next wave of austerity//
Here we go. How long is it before benefit claimants have to wear a yellow star on their clothing?
Sanctions, foodbanks, bedroom tax, benefit cuts etc.
Why is there suddenly a plethora of programmes on tv that demonize benefit claiments? (all seem to show fat, tattooed girls with a boyfriend in prison who like to smoke and drink cans of Stella and have a pitbull named giro....with the odd spliff thrown in)
Do you honestly believe this crud that is been fed to you?

They make programmes that sensationalise the worst of everything because the viewers flock to it - the middle ground sadly doesn't sell TV time.
Osborne wants another recession like the one his first Coalition budget caused, this gives him headroom to generate "good news" by the fifth year of his term - people forget the first four years.

How long is it before benefits are restricted to those who genuinely need them, thereby making more available for those who genuinely need them? It seems to me that for some life is all about getting something for nothing. This bleeding heart mentality makes me sick. People who are able have to take responsibility for themselves.
to be fair Naomi, a lot of the genuine vulnerable are being penalised.
Osborne has said that he wants to make another 9 billion more in cuts. The Tories have already trimmed away most of the fat...the meat and the bone is all there is left.

The people who voted Tory last week, voted despite Osborne not telling them where these cuts are going to come from ! Maybe he will go after them, as well as the poor and disadvantaged.

Cazz is correct.....after this next Budget, even more of the genuine vulnerable will be penalised.

Like getting your moat cleaned for *** all?
Not all claims are dishonest, but the system whereby a lady with a pitbull and a supply of Special Brew gets loadsamoney does need looking into. imo.
And what do you all you bleeding hearts think Labour would have done to try to repair the broken benefits system? According to your failed leader, exactly the same.

Why do Labour supporters never seem to be aware of their own party's intentions? Too busy sucking on sour grapes I suppose.

The system needs fixing.
This was the Laugh Out Loud alternative ... Red Ed's flagship policies of "mansion tax" and "save the NHS" are destroyed by the towering intellect of ... Myleene Klass ...

"You can't just point at things and tax them.

You might as well tax me on this glass of water."

Myleene exposes the ill thought out, infantile, naivety of Labour's so-called financial plan.
Oh God still blaming Labour - how typical !

Good thread nailit and very true.
chaptazbru2, I don't know what you've been reading but you haven't read it on this thread. You might want to read my post 22:17 Sun 17th May. That should make things a little clearer for you.
"ext wave of austerity"
Well the deficit is around £1.5 trillion isn't it so it's hard to see an alternative unless we want to end up like Greece.
