Is there a prison somewhere in the country that is specifically (or has a wing that is specifically) for ex police, prison officers etc that have been given a custodial sentence?
Someone recently mentioned to me that there was but I havnt heard of it.
Thanks.

No they go to a normal 'nick' and get a hard time from the other cons.
Just imagine the row if there was a special prison just for ex police!

Thanks Eddie, didnt think there was (and I also seem to recall someone on here once saying that there was a 'special' nick for convicted police and prison officers as well). Read this book some years ago http://www.amazon.co.uk/A-Fair-Cop-Michael-Bunting/dp/1906321922 about a copper who got sent down and had a hard time of it. but the guy I recently spoke to insisted that there WAS a nick for convicted police, prison officers, solicitors etc.
Wouldnt like to be a convicted copper thats for sure.
Thanks again.
They may get treated as a 'vulnerable' prisoner in the way child sex offenders are. Ex 'screws' are even more hated by cons and guards!

Ive known a lot of 'serving' screws that are hated by cons and some of their colleagues, lol.
I understand that they can request to go on "Rule 45 segregation" where they believe that their safety is at risk but segregation units are also used to house other prisoners who are at risk eg paedophiles, and prisoners who are adjudged to be a risk to the safety and good order of the prison or who are a risk to themselves....so no walk in the park.
