....................but Danny Ings' goal earned me £75. So, a bitter-sweet day and no doubt we will grace the grounds of the mega-rich again, in the (hopefully) none too distant future.

who are "we" ?
Question Author
We are Burnley, Super Burnley, We are Burnley, from the North.

Sorry MM but i thought EVERYONE knew who Danny Ings played for:-)
Up the Clarets :)
I'll be in the Baltic Fleet if you want consoling lol :)
Don't worry the mighty have fallen before and risen to great heights!
Yes,hope they're back soon and not replacing Bournemouth,Watford + play off winners.Nice to see some different teams in the Premier league.
I'm sure they'll bounce back, Ken.
Shame.
A shame actually, 'cos we has some good results against some of the big teams ..... 1-1 away to Chelsea and beat Man City at home; yet we had some poor results against teams which we should have beat .... 2-0 up at home to Crystal Palace (I think it was Palace) and we lost 3-2 and the other week we lost at home to Leicester .... just not consistent enough.
On the plus side, we get the chance to beat the bas**ds again next season (Blackburn Rovers to the rest of ya).
oh dear, this will make a few of the menfolk I know sob like big girls.
Ah, Burnley.....David Cameron's favourite team?
Do a West Brom.

Yo yo up and down, getting stronger each time.
(Oh , and nice one Talbot)
Question Author
Was going to give Gizmonster best answer, as a fellow sufferer, but Talbot's witty answer takes it. And it's a coincidence that Cameron's - ahem - 'real' team, Aston Villa, once issued a video commemorating something or other (their centenary, maybe) and the people who were commissioned to produce the video's cover made a monumental gaffe - they used a picture of the Burnley Division One Champions from the 1959-60 season. Needless to say, all copies were quite hastily recalled. Easy mistake to make, i suppose as both play in Claret and Blue. That's the excuse Cameron should've used when getting the Hammers mixed up with the Villains.
.... and one for the Greens
Sorry wrong thread!!
Hope you bounce straight back,I like Sean Dyche a lot, real honest guy.

^^^

Totally agree and i just hope we can keep hold of him. His 'stock' has risen quite considerably, this season, and just imagine what he would be capable of if he had real financial backing. I'll bet there are one or two chairmen out there casting their eyes towards Turf Moor.
It looks like Charlie Austin will be coming back down with us, they're losing 4-0 at the mo.
Not sure who the other team will be, but the odds are it'll be Hull City ....
Question Author
Behave yourself, giz, Charlie Austin, just like Danny Ings, will be playing n the Prem next season:-) Both are far too good for the Championship. I don't go on the Turf anymore - health reasons and not just a poorly wallet - but, earlier in the season, friends told me that Hull were the worst side to visit Burnley in years! So perhaps it would be fitting if they were to come down with us - if only for the guaranteed 6 points we'll pick up against them:-)
