Wasn't it David Steel said that first time around? It looks as though it has meaning now as the LibDems will get into bed with anyone.
It's too early to tell, drop out of warp 9.
Go to impulse power.
Conservatives will Kling on.
possibly most of them, we could end up with a six-party coalition.

i am ready to celebrate with a flagon of romulan ale

Well , that's the advantage i have .. being able to break the time barrier by creating a warp bubble , thus allowing me to move my space craft into subspace , thus exceeding the speed of light , thus allowing me to go to the future to have a look at the election results
Yeoman Rand. :-(

RIP
I don't know.

Conservative and SNP will have the biggest majority, but don't exactly seem a good fit.
Labour and SNP seem a better fit, but Labour say they won't do a deal.
I know who it won't be - UKIP and LibDem.
//UKIP and LibDem. //

a minority government of 20 seats?
vulcan;"Conservatives will Kling on." wasn't 'Klingons' from Startrek? I'm sure Miliband would get into bed even with them!
@SandyRoe

How many new fidelity-related epithets have the LD's collected in the last 5 years, I wonder. Where is Statto, when you need him?

I wanted to write down a few examples but I think they'd get auto-redacted or mangled by the AB filters.

@Xeronema

Made me chuckle. Thanks :-D

I think it could be labour, greens(if they win any) Pliad Cymru and with SNP in the background, so any labour SNP deals could be done through the greens and PC to get round the no direct deals with the SNP
A bit late to be going back to their constituencies to prepare for government two days before the election.
Go to your smoke filled rooms and prepare for government, more likely, although presumably that could only be UKIP: lots of smoke but unfortunately no seats :-)
Well, it certainly won't be Mr Farage !
Shouldn't we refer to it as a Fudgerment?

It's water under the bridge now, of course, but I cannot help wondering how much credibility-loss the LD's could have avoided by declining the coalition and using conventional opposition politics to vote down all the measures that they moderated from within?

I think their sold their soul because years of rhetoric about "no first-hand experience of being in power" was really eating them, so they jumped at the chance afforded to them. This adds perspective to the Lib-Lab pact, of the late 70s, making that just as much of an expedient sell-out too.

If a party will do *anything* for power, such as cooperating with notional rivals, are they to be trusted?

Khandro, Klingons are in Star Trek, I thought Bazile (AKA Captain Jean-Luc Picard ) would appreciate the pun. :o)
