I don't need to walk very far before I get a pain in my left ankle. My wrists can become quite painful, too. I'm right handed and find it increasing difficult to to simple tasks like use a tin opener or a screwdriver.
Yet more indications of the decrepitude that comes with age?

I cannot see and I cannot pee I cannot chew and cannot screw My memory shrinks and my hearing stinks No sense of smell and I look like hell My body's drooping and I've got trouble pooping The Golden Years have come at last .. The Golden years can kiss my @ss. Or it might just be a touch of Arthritis ?

Yes......I am afraid so.
Might be a good idea to see your GP re some blood tests, to see if "life can be made a little easier" for you.

I suppose copper anklets and bracelets or fish oil would be a waste of money?
A total waste of money.
my brother wears a copper bracelet and he says it helps him...placebo affect maybe ?
well it is one of 3 things sandy, virus, age, or hormonal. :)

I suppose the first thing I can do to help myself is stop buying tins of food. I take particular care to avoid any chance of contracting viruses. Nowt I can do about the hormones. :-(
Sounds like it sandy, hard lines - and welcome to the club. The alternative to being old isn't too good, though, so make the best of it. I think it was Bette Davies who said 'Old age ain't for cissies' (may be wrong there).

I broke my wrist just before Christmas and was horrified to see the amount of arthritis in my left hand and wrist area - after 2 hip replacements I shouldn't really have been surprised. Not much you can do about it, I take 1 good dose of cod-liver oil per week and eat as healthily as possible. :o)
Electric tin opener?

Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation
If it is arthritis I can vouch that diet plays a big part in pain control. If I eat processed food and gluten/dairy, I am in terrible pain. If I do alternate day fasting, suddenly everything calms down. It could be that something you're eating is making your pain worse, so maybe experiment with that?
Like Scarlett says. There are foods that cause/contribute to inflammation in the body. Wheat is a big culprit. I started reducing my intake a few years ago...now I never have any. It's made a big difference. Oh...my knees will still ache after 7 hours on my feet when I work, but all in all much better.
Hi sandy, get an electric can opener as Hopkirk suggests but they are cheaper at Argos. Their own make is cheaper but I would recommend the Kenwood at £13.99. Have used mine for years. x
