I went to my brother's new home in Ramsgate and saw a beautiful plant in his garden, but no-one knows the name of it. I've looked on Google through hundreds of garden plants to no avail, I will try to describe as best as I can and hope someone knows it. It is about 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall and has a thick stem with upward pointing spike-like mid-green leaves and one large cluster of lime green petal/leaf/like (flowers) although up close they don't really look like flowers more like waxy little clusters group in one big one. I know my description is pretty vague but someone might just get a clue from this any help appreciated.

can you get a photo and post it on tinypic then put the link here?
If you have a photo of it you could upload it to tinypic or similar.

I would also try a reverse image search on tineye
Have you looked at yucca?

can you describe the shape/form of the flower more?

I didn't take my mobile with me so no luck there perhaps I'd better take a picture next time I visit.
Prudie-It isn't a Yucca but the leaves half way up the stem look like a Yucca's leaves, then it is a bare stem until the large bright lime green single cluster of waxy-like small leaf-like flowers. Sorry I am not much more help.
Thank you all anyway.
Can your brother take a photo and send it to you?
google moluccella laevis and spurge, both of them are columnar plants with green flowers
Sounds like a Hellebore jellybun, not sure which one though
A few questions Jellybean!

Clarify that its in flower now? Or are the flower-like clusters there all year round?
Is it evergreen do you think?
Is it a succulent?
Did it look good and hardy or was it more delicate?

Beschonaria yuccoides ?
Eucomis. (pineapple lily) some have green flowers.
If you snap a leaf off, does it have a milky white sap ? Could be a Euphorbia
is this a hellebore?
