Miliband visits Russell Brand 'for interview'.

Any port in a storm I suppose - although why Ed's hobnobbing with an idiot who champions revolution and encourages people not to vote at all is anyone's guess. Very strange.

AOG already has a thread running on this. The perceived wisdom is that Ed was only attending a sex orgy. Endorsement of Labour by Brand will just send Dave straight back into no 10.

I wouldn't give either of them room in the Kennel, let alone house room!
Pair of wasters

Oops. I didn't realise, Jackdaw. Sorry AOG.

Neither would I, Baldric.
Sex orgy ? He may well be scraping the barrel then !
Question Author
Brand, Milliband, sex orgy. Urrghhh..... what a horrible thought!
I think Russell Brand is a really attractive man - until he opens his mouth!
Question Author
I think he looks like he needs a good bath.
I know what you mean - but he has got really good bone structure, and beautiful teeth - could do with a hair cut though!
Hang on a minute. // Brand has repeatedly urged young people not to vote, saying elections change little and that direct action is a more effective tool for "revolution".

David Cameron said he "did not have time to hang out" with Mr Brand.// If Ed can get Brand interested in Labour's policies & influence young people to vote Labour & Dave '' did not have time to hang out with Mr Brand'', forget the jibes, who does it strike you is the better politician Dave or Ed?

Question Author
//who does it strike you is the better politician Dave or Ed? //

Dave. He recognises an idiot when he sees one.
whiskeyron - I think Ed sees Russell as a man with a profile, albeit that he spouts claptrap, he still has an audience.

Perhaps Ed was rather Russell was 'inside the tent ....' so to speak.
Please naomi, think sensibly its much deeper than you suggest.
Question Author
I've no doubt it is, Ron - and that's quite worrying don't you think? In the long term will it really benefit Ed or the electorate to have someone who champions revolution on board the Labour Party wagon?
Revolutionaries often make good politicians & sometimes great leaders
ie. Nelson Mandela, Fidel Castro, I am in no way elevating Russell Brand I am simply making the point, that a good politician will attempt any avenue of promise available to him/her in order to promote the cause. I am afraid that David Cameron does not have this ability.
Miliband is trying to win an election, so the more people who hear him the better.

He was being interviewed for Brand's YouTube Channel which has more than 1 million subscribers. Which is more than the Daily Mirror, Daily Record, Guardian, Telegraph, Express, Standard and Star have readers. Some listeners may even vote for Ed's Party so I am not sure why anyone is perplexed by such a meeting.
Hear Hear Gromit.
yes, seems odd that someone with aspirations to be PM would give the time of day to this drug riddled brainless buffoon.

Ron, //a good politician will attempt any avenue of promise available to him/her in order to promote the cause.//

Ed’s ‘cause’ is himself as was evidenced during the debacle with his brother. He’s a ruthlessly ambitious man who wants to be Prime Minister. He’ll say anything he thinks the electorate want to hear and he’ll sink as low as he needs to in order to achieve his goal. He’s making fools of the party faithful who continue to defend him. I wouldn’t trust him or his motives – or his manifesto promises - an inch.

Gromit, I’m not perplexed – and I’m not surprised either. See above.
So you are still undecided on Labour then, naomi?
Question Author
Mmm.... difficult. I'm wavering, Gromit. ;o)
